"With dad here, my child, you don't need to worry," says Mr. Cai, a man who has long rescued stray dogs. One of his dogs has cancer and is now in the terminal stage, unable to control bowel movements, and can only lie paralyzed on the floor. He wipes the dog's body clean and gently pats it every day, saying "Although I'm tired, I won't allow myself to have regrets. No matter whether you wake up tomorrow, I will cherish every breath you take now." His touching post has moved tens of thousands of netizens.

Mr. Cai has been rescuing stray dogs in the Kaohsiung and Pingtung areas for about eight years, and has rescued over a thousand strays by now. He also helps other animal lovers care for their rescued dogs. The large dog named "Tian Ci" (Blessing) was among the first batch of strays Mr. Cai rescued. At the time, it had been maliciously abandoned and driven away, but found a happy home with Mr. Cai. However, "Tian Ci" has recently aged and developed terminal cancer, with its entire body now paralyzed and unable to control bowel movements. Mr. Cai takes extra care in looking after it.

Mr. Cai spreads pet absorbent pads under the dog, and as soon as any waste touches its body, he quickly wipes it clean and changes the pads—repeating this three to four times a day. After wiping the dog clean, he strokes its head and talks to it, saying "I know, it understands." Mr. Cai says that when "Tian Ci" first came home, it demanded cuddles every morning before it would eat. But now it can no longer stand.

Although the dog now has no strength and can only gaze at Mr. Cai with helpless, longing eyes—as if apologizing, "I can't ask for cuddles with you anymore"—he says that knowing the dog's current condition is truly difficult. But he makes a promise to the dog: he will definitely hold it every day. "No matter whether you wake up tomorrow, I will absolutely cherish every single moment with you, cherish every breath you take now, and love you just the same tomorrow."

Tens of thousands of netizens who saw the post were deeply moved and left comments saying things like "This really shows me the deep bond between you and your dog. I will definitely cheer you on no matter what!", "You're lucky to have him," "I was so moved! I think for this dog, having a dad like you makes everything worthwhile!", "Nurture him in his old age, love him in his old age, stay by his side in his old age, no matter how hard it is!", "Keep going, you are a great dad!"
