Oh no, could this be too scary?! User Zhu shared on Facebook: "The doormat in my room goes missing every night and always appears in the living room after dawn." With the lunar July still some time away, how could he encounter such bizarre happenings? Even if ghost month arrives, such strange events shouldn't occur, right? To uncover the truth, Zhu decided to stay up and secretly film—only to discover the culprit is his beloved house cat!

"Scratch scratch scratch"—the cat's paw extends through the narrow door gap into the room, targeting the fluffy blue mat ahead! Zhu explains that every day the doormat in his room vanishes, only to appear in the living room the next day. He then puts the mat back in the room, and the next day it disappears again. This has happened countless times, leaving him very puzzled: "I kept thinking, the lunar July hasn't even arrived yet, so how could I encounter something I shouldn't?"

So Zhu grabbed his camera and secretly filmed in the dark. Sure enough, as soon as the camera starts rolling, furry cat paws swat back and forth under the door, making noise. The cat seems to first test the distance and gauge how far to extend its front paws. Finally, the little paw pushes with all its might—the mat is finally hooked! Back and forth many times, the carpet gradually slides further and further out the door. Only then did he discover the "haunting's true nature"—it was his cute, playful cat dragging the mat away.

Zhu says the cat Duma has a pair of round yellow eyes and is a 3-year-old furball. Because it's all black but has a white V-shape on its chest, they named it after the Bunun indigenous word for Taiwan's black bear. Cats typically fear water, but Duma absolutely loves staying in the bathroom and around the sink—quite special indeed.

Many netizens who saw the video thought "the cat is so cute," "so naughty!" "A master thief! So impressive," "Good thing it's a cat, or you might not be able to sleep," "Life is so entertaining," "such adorable cat paws."
