Netizen Eva Chou has 13 cats at home. During feeding time, they all crowd around the bowls waiting to eat together. Yet she often notices the black cat "Mobe" eating alone after everyone else has finished, which puzzles her so much that she suspects the other cats are excluding it. After observing for a while, she discovers the black cat isn't lonely or being excluded — it's "clearing the plates." All 13 bowls are licked completely clean by it, not a single piece of kibble left.

Eva Chou posted in the Facebook group Cats Go Crazy Club, saying: "I have 13 cats at home, but black cat, how can you look so lonely eating by yourself..." She explained that at first she found it strange — why would Mobe eat alone after everyone else had finished and was resting? Later she realized the black cat wasn't lonely or being excluded, but was actually "clearing the plates." Not only does it finish its own portion, but it also licks clean all the leftover kibble from the other 12 cats' bowls, leaving not a single piece, eating until completely full.

Cat owner Eva Chou explains that having 13 cats was an accident. Initially, she adopted a cat from a shelter. Then she saw a stray cat she had been feeding that had been injured by an animal trap and lost its leg. Unable to bear seeing it continue to suffer on the streets, she brought it home. Later, she saw a pet shop cat that no one wanted to buy. On top of that, her female cat didn't get spayed in time and accidentally gave birth to five kittens. What started as wanting just one cat suddenly turned her home into a bustling household.

Many netizens were amused by the photos. Some added their own commentary: "Silly kitty, there's more next to me when I'm not full enough," "The cat isn't eating kibble... it's eating loneliness," "These are all mine, I'll call them over when I'm done eating." Others thought the cat was incredibly cute and smart — because fighting to eat doesn't necessarily mean eating the most. The cat that eats last actually eats the fullest, and gets to eat slowly too.
