When traveling abroad, the most important thing is "internet connection"! Without it, you can't communicate or navigate, which is really dangerous!
So when I was planning my trip to Singapore and Malaysia at the end of September, the thing that troubled me most was finding a WiFi router. Since I needed to travel across countries and I love checking in and taking photos, I use the internet constantly. I wanted to find a device with [high data usage], [long battery life], and [cross-border capability], so before departing I carefully compared WiFi router options from three companies.
The first company is Wi-Fun Global Router

The second company is wi-ho

The third company is wifi hero

Before this, I knew none of these three companies. Previously when I traveled to Japan and Korea, I rented WiFi routers at the local airports. This time, since I needed cross-border coverage, I researched carefully. Let me show you the comparison table first—it's very straightforward:

Although Wi-Fun is very cheap at 50 TWD per day, oh my goodness, their data limit is only 50MB per day??? I'd use it up just scrolling Facebook—bye bye, definitely not considering it! XD
Next is the second company, wiho. Their internet conditions are almost identical to WiFi Hero, but with 15 hours of standby time and a price of 299 TWD. For my six-day trip, the difference between 299 and 220 TWD is 79 TWD per day**, which adds up to 474 TWD for the whole trip…** In the end, I chose WiFi Hero. When checking out, I discovered so many amazing deals! If you pick up and return the device at the company itself, you save one day's rental fee—instantly saving 220 TWD! Plus, on your first registration and rental, you save another day!!!!!!
So my total cost for six days was only 924 TWD, and since we were two people traveling together, each person only paid 77 TWD per day.

It was truly so economical!
The moment we arrived in Singapore, we connected without any lag. I immediately notified my friend picking us up at the airport—perfect communication! Then we crossed the big bridge straight into Malaysia. I thought it would connect automatically, but we had to reset and reconnect. We got internet in Malaysia right away too—very reassuring. The speed did slow down a bit, but I think that's probably related to the local network conditions lol
When we returned to Singapore later, we could use it seamlessly throughout! Plus, the device doubled as a power bank when our phones ran out of battery! We kept two phones charged from 10 AM to 10 PM straight—felt like it had incredible value. Online booking and company pickup were very convenient, and the company office is right at the MRT station exit—literally right at the exit!!! This rental experience was excellent, and I'm sharing it with everyone~
I was too excited to take photos of the device itself, so I'll just grab a web image to show what the model looks like.
